KATHMANDU, May 7: “Only Love” is out, and with it the saga of love continues.
Lyricist Basant Chaudhary’s fourth album was launched at Hotel Soaltee Crowne Plaza amid a riotous media attention on Thursday, May 5.
The album took two years in the making and includes 11 songs, all composed by Nhyoo Bajracharya.
Famous singers such as Ram Krishna Dhakal, Shiv Pariyar, Cine Gurung, Yogeshwor Amatya, Hemant Rana, Reema Gurung, Neelanjana Bhattacharya and Shreya Sotang along with Indian singers Shreya Ghoshal and Kailash Kher have lent their voices to the songs.
Chaudhary’s foray into music industry started 12 years ago with the musical ensemble “Red Pearl”. Since then he has released three albums “Maya Baljieychha”, “Timro Namma”, and “Reflection of love”.
“This time we focused on the technical aspects of the album as well.
The mixing was entirely done in Mumbai and we’ve used a lot of live instruments. Nhyoo has done a marvelous job!” shared the lyricist, clad in a pristine white suit punctuated by a red rose.
Chaudhary’s 11 songs, infused with romantic lyrics, stirs sentiments of love in listeners in varying degrees — from upbeat “Khulam Khulla” by Shiv Pariyar, melodious “Najik Chaina” by Shreya Sotang to the sentimental “Chhayechha Basanta” by Shreya Ghoshal.
The album release also marked the launch of CG Entertainment that will provide production and marketing services and aims to venture into film shootings and multiplexes, later on.
To celebrate the CD release, the star-studded musical evening saw the singers featured in the album perform their respective songs to the audience ranging from businessmen to musicians.
The dance troupes that accompanied the singers on stage deserve a special mention.
Musician Bajracharya said his experience in the album being different from past projects. “It was definitely challenging to incorporate live instruments, but at the end of the day it was worth every single hardship – the sound was incomparable. Also, deviating from the standard norms, I experimented with different pattern. The music is very diverse in this album.”
