London: Emma Watson, who has played Hermione Granger in the wizard franchise since she was just 10, smooches co-star Rupert Grint in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
The pair admitted that they were worried about the hotly-anticipated moment “living up to all the hype”.
Emma said, “We knew that we’d been building the anticipation of this moment for 10 years. It’d been going on for so long. Rupert and I really wanted to make sure it lived up to all the hype. We were nervous, it was awkward, but I think we did the moment justice. The funny thing about it is the moment before we kissed, we get soaked with a vat of water so we had that going on as well.”
Emma, who broke down in tears as she addressed fans at the premiere of the final movie in the franchise at London’s Trafalgar Square, explained she will “really miss” living in the wizardly world of her alter-ego.
Addressing co-stars, Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe, who play Ron Weasley and Harry Potter respectively, she added “I will really miss those boys. I will really miss Rupert and Dan. I will really miss being Hermione and living in her world.”
