Shreya Ghoshal to play at Bridgewater Hall

The Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal’s most recent UK & Europe Tour coincides with 100 Years of Bollywood and this landmark will be celebrated with a special tribute to some of the industry’s legends.

The UK tour will culminate with Ghoshal’s debut at the Royal Albert Hall during May bank holiday Monday.

“Be ready for a beautiful evening of lots of beautiful music. An unforgettable evening for both you and me,” said Ghoshal.

Ghoshal will perform at Bridgewater Hall on Friday 26 April.

Shreya Ghoshal is one of the most prolific singers in India today, with music writers hailing her as the ‘Queen Bee of Playback’.

The singer found fame when she won a TV reality show where she impressed director Sanjay Leela Bhansali with her vocal prowess.

Soon after she became the voice of the protagonist Paro played by Aishwarya Rai in Bollywood movie Devdas. Her performance won her the Filmfare Award for best female playback singer.
