Singing sensation turns down Tamil films

Shreya Ghoshal is quite the singing sensation. Having won a talent competition, she got to sing for Devdas, a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwariya Rai. She won two Filmfare awards for her very first film and her dulcet tones were in demand everywhere. She has sung for some of the biggest music composers in India like Ilaiaraja and AR Rahman. In Tamil, she has super hits like Munbe Va from Sillunu Oru Kadhal under her belt.

This sweet voiced lady is also very good looking and has been peppered with offers especially from the Tamil film industry. But so far the singer is not biting and insists that her passion is singing and she is not cut out for a career in films. Besides she says, if she accepts films she will not be able to devote the time and energy she currently does for singing. So for now she is politely but firmly turning down all the acting offers that come her way.
